Fertility, IVF, miscarriage and women’s health counselling

Terms and Conditions

1. Timing & Arriving
Our sessions last for 50 minutes. If you happen to be running late, we will still be able to use whatever time is left of your slot. Please note that I cannot extend the session past our scheduled finish time, as I want to ensure I am ready and on time for the next client.

2. Cancellations & Rearranging
I completely understand that life happens, especially when navigating medical or fertility appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice. Missed sessions or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at the full rate, unless there are sudden, unavoidable circumstances.

3. Fees & Payment
To help us focus entirely on your therapy during our time together, payments should be made before each session begins. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please speak with me so we can discuss options; however, if fees remain unpaid, I reserve the right to pause or end our therapy framework.

4. Clinical Supervision
To provide you with the safest, highest-quality care, I participate in regular, ongoing clinical supervision and professional development, as required by my code of practice. I may talk about our work together with my supervisor, but I will never use your name or share any identifying details. Your privacy is fully protected.

5 & 6. Confidentiality & Safety Boundaries
Everything we talk about is confidential and kept in accordance with legal and ethical requirements. There are only a few exceptional circumstances where I might need to share information outside of our sessions, primarily if I am concerned that you or someone else is at serious risk of harm.
Additionally, I am legally obligated to pass on information regarding acts of terrorism, drug trafficking, or the protection of children and vulnerable adults. If a situation arises where I must consider sharing information for your safety, I will always aim to discuss this with you first. Please be mindful about sharing previously unreported criminal matters, as I may be required by law to contact the relevant authorities.

7. Professional Boundaries
Our relationship will always remain strictly professional and focused on your well-being. We will talk about and agree on healthy boundaries (such as how we handle any contact between our scheduled sessions) during our appointments.

8. Clinical Notes & Privacy
I take secure notes during or after our sessions to support your therapeutic journey. These are stored safely and privately in full compliance with GDPR regulations. No one else has access to them except my clinical supervisor, unless they are formally requested by a court of law.

9. Navigating Endings
Therapy can sometimes bring up intense, exhausting, or frustrating emotions. If you ever feel overwhelmed or feel the urge to stop therapy, I warmly invite you to share this with me. Checking in at the end of sessions gives us a safe space to talk through any discomfort and adjust how we work together. Usually, you will naturally feel when you are ready to finish, and we will work together to prepare for a gentle ending.

10. Ending the Therapy Contract
I promise never to suddenly or unexpectedly end our contract without talking to you first, unless exceptional or extreme circumstances make it impossible to continue safely. Please note that any threats or acts of violence will bring our agreement to an immediate end. For your safety and the integrity of the work, sessions cannot take place if you arrive under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed substances.

11. Planned Breaks & Holidays
I will always give you plenty of advance notice regarding my planned holidays or breaks. Occasionally, a session might need to be rescheduled due to illness or training. If that happens, I will give you as much notice as possible and offer you an alternative time slot. Please let me know if any of your contact details change so I can always reach you.

12. Your Data Consent
To provide you with my services and coordinate with your private medical insurance (if applicable), I need to collect and use your personal data. This information is only used to manage your appointments and keep you informed of changes. I will never share your details with third parties for marketing.
Clinical information will only be shared with external parties (like your insurer or doctor) if you give explicit consent. In line with GDPR standards, your clinical notes will be stored securely and permanently destroyed after 8 years.
