Fertility, IVF, miscarriage and women’s health counselling

Online Baby Loss, Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss Counselling UK

Around one in four recognised pregnancies end in miscarriage, and around 1% of couples experience recurrent miscarriage. Stillbirth affects around 1 in 250 births in the UK. These statistics can feel cold, clinical, and deeply unhelpful when it is your baby, your loss, and your grief.
For something that so many women and families endure, it can feel jarring how little space there often is to talk openly about pregnancy loss. So often this grief is carried quietly, hidden from public view in a way that other forms of bereavement are not.
Online counselling is a way to give your grief and valid emotions a dedicated space to breathe. Having been in your position experiencing recurring miscarriages, I understand first-hand how isolating, frightening, and heartbreaking this journey feels. I see you, and I offer a safe, compassionate space where your grief can be shared, witnessed, and gently held. If you feel ready to speak, I am here for you to book a free, gentle introductory chat.

Baby Loss, Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss Counselling in Edinburgh and Online UK
To support your healing in the way that feels safest for you, I offer two flexible virtual formats across the UK:

  • Online Video Therapy: Connect via a secure, encrypted video platform so you can remain in the complete comfort, privacy, and safety of your own home environment.
  • Telephone Walk-and-Talk Therapy: If sitting in front of a screen feels too intense, we can connect by phone. Being outdoors in your local nature spot, moving at your own pace while we talk, can help you feel more grounded, physically connected, and supported.

You do not have to carry this quiet grief by yourself. If you would like to work together online or via telephone anywhere in the UK, please don’t hesitate to book a free introductory call.
I feel like I "should" be over my miscarriage by now. Is my grief normal?

There is no timeline for reproductive grief, and society often deeply underestimates the trauma of early pregnancy loss.  Every loss is a profound relational rupture and the death of a hoped for future.  In our sessions, we completely strip away the word “should”.  Your grief is a valid, natural response to a deeply painful event, and we will hold space for it exactly as it is.

Pregnancy after loss is an incredibly anxious time, often stripped of the joy you might have expected.  We use trauma-informed techniques and nervous system regulation to help you manage the acute anxiety of early scans, pregnancy milestones and the complex protective mechanisms your mind creates to shield you from further pain.

Only if you want to.  Your therapy is entirely self-paced.  If you need to voice the trauma of hospital appointments, empty scans, or physical management, I am fully equipped to hold that with you.  If you prefer to focus entirely on the emotional, existential, and identity shifts you are experiencing, we will focus there instead.

Based in Edinburgh? I offer In person session at 22 Drumsheugh Gardens, EH3 7RN.
